Welcome to Moms of Michigan.

 You are not alone.
Moms of Michigan is a site for non custodial mothers to reach out for support, political action, and education. Too many mothers come to the conclusion that they are helpless and alone. The numbers of non custodial mothers is on the rise and at an alarming rate. The bottom line is you are not alone and there is help!
 
The title "Non Custodial Mother" is a title that has a stigma placed with it. Society feels that a mother without her children is a drug addict or some monster that can't be trusted to be a part of their children's lives.  The question rises "What did you do wrong to lose your children?" The truth is not all moms who lose custody are "monster" mothers.
 

Moms of Michigan understands that there are many reasons why a mother loses custody of their children, and one of the key reasons being an adversarial court system that doesn't respect both parent's involvement as being paramount and important to the development of children.  When a relationship fails, many times the children become a prize and the anger of the other parent leads to parental alienation and exclusion of one of the parent's involvement. Sometimes it can be another family member that attempts to erase you out of your children's mind. In other cases CPS comes into the home and removes the children with  false allegations of abuse. During all of these tragic events the state is now welcomed into the family unit.   

Moms of Michigan gives moms the oppurtunity to expand their knowledge in Equal Parenting and equip themselves with the tools to fight for parental rights.
 
Support.
Moms of Michigan is gaining ground in reaching out to mothers across the state.  Many mothers believe they are alone in their quest to stay equally involved in their children's lives. You will find support for non custodial mothers, step mothers, and grandmothers who deal with the burden of the various issues that brought injustice into your life. We are also reaching to other organizations to ensure non custodial mothers are included in their missions for equality.
Michigan Courts.
As parents we enter into the court system believing that we will have justice and that we are all equal, but find out that the system rewards horrible outcomes. During this time we quickly learn that the system fails us and our children. While you visit this site you will gain information on the various laws and how the system operates. We will also encourage alternatives. Knowledge is power.
Resources.
Moms of Michigan has a goal to provide non custodial mothers with an abounding amount of new and fresh resources to assist in maintaining a loving relationship with your children. These resources will grow as the members come together with greater awareness.
